Guys, the game is very COOL! I would like to be a character, but by the way, I don't have any practice in any Martial Arts.
Would you include a Viet Vo Dao fighter in the game?

It looks very interesting and promising. in the demo I failed to see any grappling moves whatsoever. That was dissapointing.

I am bjj guy with some good competition success so grappling moves are what I am looking forward.

Sincerely,

Hello

I'm a fighter from holland and i've practiced a year muay thai(a harder form of kickboxing where you also use knees) an 3 years taekwondo.
I'm a big fan of fighting games and i suggest you check out the knock out system that was used for a boxing playstation 2 game called fight night round 2.
It uses a system that lets you punch when a character is already knocked out and wobbly on his legs. So you can actually give a few punches(or kicks in your game) after he has been KO'ed.. it brings much realism becous it determince how a player go's down... i suggest you check it out you'll know what i mean.
Also check out the latest k-1 game, it might bring a few good idea's for it's realism.Use blood for the kick of it and use a disable option for the kids.
What also could be cool is that you can make the character break a nose or even break an arm or leg so they can't use it for the rest of the match.. could be cool!
And please add a taekwondo-ka and a thai boxer for there brutal kicks(taekwondo) and there hard fighting style with elbows and knees(muay thai)
Keep up the good work and maybe this could work and and make a great game!
Greetz from Holland.

Super Sache, die Ihr macht!
Ich fand es schon immer bedauerlich, daß es so wenige Prügelspiele (und vorallem keine neuen) für den PC gibt und man sich dafür eine Konsole kaufen muß!

Macht weiter so, gute Leute!

38  Russian Comando wrote on 05.07.2004 :
The Idea is just brilliant. But... Why do you talk about realistic game if you have "health bar". In real fight there is no health bars. Every part of body have it's own property. I sugest using

1) Capability of the limbs - analog of the health, but character do not die in the end, but his limb starts to work slow. It's common practice on the turnaments to DISABLE fighter legs with low kicks and then finish him off.
2) Breathing ability - health of the lungs - repairs over time. Many fighters try to pul air out of their opponent's lungs with a punch or kick to the ribcage, diafragma or neck to lower opponent's activity.
3) Neural ability - health of neural system. Use it for blows in some vitals, pain-points and brain.

This will help to make different tactics availible in the game and at the same time efficient.

Hi Undergrounder,hi "Kenny"

Go to subfighter.com for some techniques in mpegs.

Great game idea. It is going to be one of those games that not everybody likes. To realistic, to unrealistic, that wouldn't happen... Ignore them and keep up the good work

19  nick wrote on 29.07.2003 :
looks cool, if you still need ppl id love to be in the new version...practice wado ryu karate and several weapons styles...

18  David wrote on 21.07.2003 :
I think it would be better to allow to hit down if the opponent blocks high and hit high if he blocks down. This is how it works in real life.
4. I think the steps - I mean the movements forward, backward, left and right need improving - they are to small. They look unnatural and it is not possible to quickly close to your oponent to attack from longer range..

Please, include more moves and do not automatically choose good technique for a given range. Do not make techniques work equally well in all ranges. Do not make one block for any attack comming from any direction...

Best regards and good luck in your project.

17  David wrote on 21.07.2003 :
The game looks nice. I do not play games, but this one I will try. I played a little with the demo, and there are a few things I would like to criticise. 1. the demo which is available right now does not have too much techniques to use. I think you already corrected this
2. The guy on the right automatically controls distance better than the guy on the left. If you just punch - one for the left, one punch for the right guy, after a few times the left guy will be out of range. In the same time the guy on the left can still hit with the same technique! And this is the same character, so you can not claim one has longer hands
3. Automatically choosing the range for a kick (knee in short range and foot in long range) is a bad thing. Let people show some skill! If it goes like this it is not wise to use hands, because kicks work better - you can hit from longer distance, and you do not have to worry in short distance - the same kick will work.
4. If you just press "Block" your opponent can not hit you - punches do not work, kicks do not work. You can only use "Judothrow" to take your oponent down, but you have to be in good distance for that. But when you are getting closer, your oponent can take you down. Why did you do so?

yo yo yo...

i love the way your game is going and i can't wait for the finished product.

you inspired me to make a backyard wrestling game for my fed, but i'm kinda shit at 3d studio programming so i was wondering... what do you use for animating your models for grappling an how do you implement grappling in your game? you can e-mail me if you don't wanna say it here.

please help me, and good luck on your own game!

I'd love this game to be different from others where the characters take hundreds of kicks to k.o.
though it's more entertaining, it ruins the realistic perspective of the game. I look forward to playing, and btw, the demo link is dead.

This is something I have waited for a long time. I hope you have time and dedication to make this happen. Johan had good comments, but main thing is that the game should have good playability and enough realistic.
I couldn´t download the demo! I get this kind of error message: "Sorry, the page or file you're looking for is not here".
I really really would like to try this game. Please make my dreams come true.

7  sath dogg wrote on 23.03.2003 :
You guys should use a wrestler as one of your fighters, a real one. i would suggest Brock Lesnar, wrestled for the Minnesota gophers, and now the WWE, also you could use undefeated Cael Sanderson from Iowa State now in olympic training. You would obviously have to change the names, but Lesnar does a belly to belly over the back suplex, and power doubles, etc. and Sanderson on the other hand has excellent technique and is highly skilled. reach me at my emailI think this idea would work. Also i could make one up since i know a few things about wrestling.

I have been waiting for a real fighting game for a long period of time to come to pc. I hope u guys will make my dreams come true.. i have some wishes: Multiplayer support with like tournaments that people can meet. I think u should implement lots of stuf to personalize the carachter u create, with lots of options for appearance, body and so on.. and then u are going to be able to train ur caracter so that he becomes better the more u train so when ur going to fight online with him everyone has different good carachters. Look at the creature section in black and white. I also think that when fighting ur carachter will get scars and bleed and that the scars will remain all the time. It would also be cool if he could get different grades at the fighting style he is using so that when he is fully graded he can train another one so that he can switch between all the styles when he is fully trained. I have lots of idees. Keep up the good work!
